PART THREE: FACING ADVERSITY

Everybody has "those days". The days when almost everything seems to be going wrong. The days when you don't quite understand what the problem is.  Fear and anxiety creep up on you and choke every bit of faith you had left over.  Adversity can ravage your life and leave you broken. In those trying times, it's easy for you to begin doubting the goodness of God. 'I mean, if there is a good God out there somewhere, why would he allow something as tragic as this to happen?' - you may think.  In other instances, you could even begin to think that God has changed His mind about you. Like His good plan for your life has ceased or has been thwarted. But all of these doubts are far from the truth.  Just because unpleasant circumstances have taken place in your life doesn't mean God has changed. The adversities we exeperience in life do not render God a bad God. They don't render Him mean or unkind or even unloving. He is still good. His plan for your life is st...

PART TWO: FACING UNCERTAINTY

And He will be the stability of  your times, abundance of salvation,  wisdom and knowledge; the  fear of the LORD is Zion's treasure.                                              ISAIAH 33:6 ESV I wish someone told me that transitioning into adulthood would be a huge milestone in my life. More specifically, what my life as a university student would be like. I envisioned...

When I was a child, I talked like a  child, I thought like a child, I reasoned  like a child. When I became a man  I put the ways of childhood behind me.                             1 Corinthians 13:11 NIV Do you remember the time you hit puberty? Do you remember what that experience was like? Was it almost as if you woke up one day and boom! Your biggest concern were the two giant pimples bulging out of your forehead and causing you to question your beauty and self worth? Well my fellow young adult, just as it was when you hit puberty, so it is now that you are transitioning or have already transitioned into adulthood- you're going through changes. Wild!  There is a switch that happens when one transitions from childhood/teenagehood to adulthood. The experience is different for everyone. For some, becoming an adult means going away to University while to others, it means getting a job and gaining ...
