PART SIX: FOSTER HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS

The book of Proverbs chapter 27 verse 9 says; "Just as lotions and fragrance give sensual delight, a sweet friendship refreshes the soul." MSG.

Don't you just love it when one of your good friends comes by and the two of you have a laughter festival all day long? I live for those moments. Healthy relationships are a good breeding ground for your mental wellbeing.

One of the things that you can do in order to manage stress is to become very intentional about your relationships. I encourage you to take inventory of your interpersonal relationships. Are they healthy and wholesome or do they harbor any traces of toxicity that need to be dealt with and/or gotten rid of? How is your relationship with the people closest you? Your spouse or significant? Your family? Your friends? How do you relate with your co-workers? Your schoolmates? Have you set healthy boundaries within these relationships? Are you and the people you're involved with being of benefit to each other or are you only wasting each other's time and other valuable resources?

Relationships can be quite stressful huh! Maybe I can help with that.... Grab you free copy of my e-book on stress and how to manage it down below.

The world is already a battlefield. The last field you should be fighting on is the field of your relationships. Don't get me wrong here! I am not encouraging you to cut people off, no! I am encouraging you to be intentional about your relationships. If you haven't already done it, you need to develop healthy habits and practices within your existing relationships and cut off the unhealthy and toxic ones. Instead of gossiping and rumor-mongering, try openness and honesty. Instead of backstabbing and defaming each other's character, try loyalty and uplifting one another.

In short, get rid of the toxicity and actively work on building healthy and wholesome attributes within your existing relationships.
